Working From Home Assignments 3/16-3/20

Hello students' and families. All of the assignments for the week of March 16 - March 20th will be posted on this page. The links and assignments will also be posted on google classroom. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me by Email. Stay safe!
8th Grade
March 16th Math and Reading 

Math (all the links are on google classroom)
  1. Correct the answers to your homework (page 75 & 76)
  2. Fill in the guided notes (pages 66-67)Page 1 notes:
    1. Read Model it, The table has the same information as the one for Mr. Brown to make it easier to compare numbers.
    2. Model it: If you notice the lines are going down to the right. This represents a negative rate of change. Think about why this problem has a negative rate of change. What happens between the amount owed on the cars over the months? Are they both negative? Both positive? Does one have a negative rate of change and the other has a positive rate of change?
  3. Do worksheet 77-78 

Reading

March 17th and March 19th Language

  1. Quoting and Paraphrasing Study Island Practice (due Monday the 23rd)

  2. In a Google Doc, start a journal of your experiences during this time away from school by creating your own primary source record of the experience.

    1. Write on every odd day of the week for at least 10-15 min. 
    2. Make sure to put the date for each journal entry.
    3. *Make it fun!!! You can add different fonts, pictures, videos, gifs, etc.*  

    You will be turning in your journal at the end of this week so I can check on your progress

March 18th and 20th Math:
  1. Watch BOTH Edpuzzles on comparing functions 
  2. Go to IXL.com 
  3. Find your username and password from the images below (Posted on classroom)
  4. Log in and do the two suggested skills (Z12 Compare linear functions: graphs and equations, Z13 Compare linear functions: tables, graphs, and equations)
March 18th and 20th Reading:

    Think about this: If the price changed from $36 to $35, would this change the answer?

6th Grade Math
March 16th: 
1. Be sure to fill out the google form from the online interactive you did March 12th
2. Do the Combine Like Terms Worksheet, which is linked below. Remember that when there is a negative, think of it as a subtraction sign.

March 18th:

1. Watch the Equivalent Expressions video on classroom (the file was to big to put on Weebly)
2. Do Equivalent Equations Worksheet 3/18 on Study Island (this will be taken as a grade)
*You NEED to work out the problems on paper. Remember 1. Distribute 2.Combine like terms*
